Majorca, Spain

Take me back to the Balearic Islands capital, Palma de Mallorca, the breathtaking Mediterranean beauty.

Spain, where do I even begin?

It was charming and everything I had hoped it would be. We were in Spain for three weeks and visited Mallorca, Valencia, Sevilla, Madrid, Malaga, and Barcelona.

Let’s explore these beautiful places.

Mallorca:

To tell you the truth, the only beach we visited was the little beach next to our hotel; it was quiet, the water was clear, and the temperature was great, so we didn't need to go anywhere else. We were in Mallorca for only three days, and there was so much to see. We decided to spend one day relaxing, enjoying the beach, and the other two days exploring other parts of Mallorca, such as Soller and Valldemossa.

Soller:

There are many ways to get to Soller, including by taxi, train, or renting a car. We decided on the scenic train option. It is a traditional Ferrocarril de Soller that takes about 1 hour through the mountains.

Soller was charming and unique, making it a desirable vacation stop.  Plaza de la Constitucion, Soller’s main square, is full of cafes, restaurants, and shops. You can spend your time here or take a tram to the port and enjoy the beautiful beach, maybe sip a drink and take in the stunning view.

Randemar: We picked this restaurant on the Port de Soller seafront. It boasts delicious food and a great atmosphere. What I enjoyed about it was its contemporary feel and the seasonal Mediterranean cuisine. My favorite dishes were the Hummus Clasico with bread and, of course, Burrata.

Valldemossa:

Only a 30-minute drive from Palma, Valldemosa is another must-visit town. You can enjoy early Spanish culture and history in this lovely town. We enjoyed our day strolling through its small alleys, absorbing its unique beauty.

Es Taller Valldemossa:  Was our lunch pick. Located in an old mechanic’s garage, only steps from the town’s main attractions, it definitely has cool vibes. Unfortunately,  food was just ok.

Restaurant Pesquero Palma: Our first restaurant in Mallorca didn’t let us down. We had a fantastic sea view, and it was conveniently located in the center of Palma.

Ombu Tapas and Cocktails: We saw this place while exploring; it was almost empty, and we decided to return to eat there later. When we returned, it was fully packed with people, and they had a waitlist. We had to try it now, LOL. So we waited for 20-30 minutes and are so glad we did. Everything was delicious, full of flavors, and fresh.

Stagier Bar: This is the place to go if you want to be WOWed with a memorable night and a delicious menu you will tell your friends and family about after your trip. Everything from start to finish was phenomenal. Every dish is made to order from scratch. I had such a great time that I would return to Mallorca just to eat here again.

El Txoko de Martin: Our last dinner in Palma was at this restaurant—a great ambiance and menu. Our dishes were flavorful and tasty.
